Q: What does the £99 Self Assessment tax return include?

When you use our self assessment return service, we will create your tax calculation for approval, and submit the return to HMRC on your behalf.

Q: What if there is something I don’t understand?

You are of course welcome to contact us with any queries you may have, either by email or by telephone.

Q: I have a really complex problem, can I speak with an accountant about this?

Yes, of course, we can arrange phone appointments to talk over more complex issues, or we can make an appointment at the office to speak with your accountant face to face. As you would expect, this is beyond the scope of the £99 self-assessment service and is chargeable at an hourly rate agreed in advance.

Q: There is no way you can do this for me at such a cheap price, where is the catch?

We have hundreds of satisfied clients across the U.K. and beyond who use our services year after year, this is not a subscription, there is no catch! By optimising our practice we are able to bring you an amazing service at a fantastic price.

Q: Where is your call centre based? I don’t like calling abroad.

We don’t have a call centre, but we may have Welsh accents! We are based in the U.K. in Narberth, Pembrokeshire.

Q: My current accountant is over priced, but offers additional services, what if I need more than just a tax return?

Self assessment is just a small part of our business, we offer all the services you expect from a traditional high street accountancy practice. We can speak with HMRC on your behalf, write letters and appeals for you, calculate your CGT, help you with applying for grants, operate your payroll, do your bookkeeping and much more. These added services are chargeable at just £25 + VAT per hour, we wont even attempt to charge you without agreement in advance!

Q: Can I pay you by debit or credit card?

To keep our costs low and pass these savings on to you, we do not accept payment by card, but can accept payment by BACS, SWIFT, UK Cheque or cash.

Q: I’m a bit nervous of online companies, how do I know I can trust you?

We are all conscious of on-line security issues and scams, and rightly so! Firstly we are a UK company, registered right here in the UK, and therefore required to operate under UK law. We work from the UK, and you are more than welcome to visit us and see for yourself.

Most importantly, we do not charge in advance! Once we have completed your tax calculation and you are happy, only then will we send you an invoice for prompt payment.

Q: I’ve made a bit of a mess with my previous returns, can you help?

Yes! We can contact HMRC on your behalf, lodge appeals etc. We charge an additional £25 + VAT per hour for these kind of services, but will let you know in advance what total costs may be – no one likes surprise bills!

Q: I’m not VAT registered, do I still need to pay VAT?

If you are based in the UK, yes, you will need to add VAT to our prices. If you are not a UK Resident, things are different and there is a good chance you do not need to pay VAT on our services.
